Energy direct from the Sun

A Solar power system uses the suns light and transforms it into a source of energy.

In remote areas solar energy has become a reliable counterpart to conventional power sources. It has even been utilised out in space. Solar power systems are used in a variety of ways including homes, lighting, architectural projects, and cooking. The popularity of solar energy has improved over the increasingly expensive fossil fuels. Solar panels are designed to collect and channel the power from the sun.

After solar energy has been collected by the solar panels it is converted into energy. This can be done by a process called solar thermal application. The energy from the sun is used to directly heat liquids or air. The process of photoelectric application involves the use of photovoltaic cells to change the energy into electricity.

Solar power really is green energy as it poses no harm to the environment. However, other threats to the environment may affect the ability to use solar power system in the future. Pollution has been the reason for global dimming. It allows less sunlight to reach the surface of the Earth. Global dimming is a recent concern that is caused by pollution which diminishes the quantity of sunlight reaching the earths surface. The problem of global dimming is caused largely by global warming and pollution particles.

The Solar Electric Power Association is an organization of electric utility companies and the solar industry. They teamed up to find the answers to our energy demands. SEPA is a network of more than one hundred companies. Fifty are utility companies, twenty five are solar companies, and the rest are various types of businesses. They share experiences, knowledge, and information about solar programs, They also discuss policies and technology relating to their field.

Is solar energy right for you? There are advantages to using this as a safe alternative to fossil fuel. Solar energy is free once installed. It can be utilised in a lot of places where conventional electricity is difficult to install. The sun’s resources are not going to dissapear in the near future. The main down side is that it doesn’t function at night. The cost of creating solar power stations to store such energy is very expensive.

Obviously there are some areas of the world where solar energy just isn’t an option because the climate just does not receive enough sunlight.
